Job Description

You will be part of the Making Tax Digital programme, supporting HMRC to deliver its ambition of becoming a modern tax authority by moving all VAT traders over to a new tax platform by 2023.

You will support this by cleansing historical trader records, across a variety of computer systems to allow them to migrate onto ETMP when the time comes.

Responsibilities

  • Interrogation and analysis of VAT computer systems (VISION, EF, COTAX, Companies House), working data from/to spreadsheets to cleanse historical VAT records, or highlighting traders where further work is required by HMRC colleagues to ensure data will map successfully from the legacy system to the new strategic tax platform.

• Supporting and collaborating with your colleagues virtually via MS Teams to fulfil work demands.

• Supporting HMRC colleagues with high profile error correct work where Live Service Issues (LSIs) have arisen.

• Manual inputting of VAT forms onto VAT systems to support overall VAT migration of trader records.

• Other duties as and when requested by line manager.
