Volunteering

I spent six months volunteering every Friday in a local nursery as part of my NVQ 3, spending the first 3 months in the baby room and the second half in the kitchen, learning about preparing food for children, creating meal plans for the coming week and helping build the food order. By the end of my time working in the kitchen I was trusted to run it independently whilst the cook was on holiday and was offered a job working as her assistant when I finished my full-time education.

Church Responibilities

For the two years before I moved up to Dundee I joined the committee that wrote the church newsletter, this meant writing articles, chasing up articles written by other people, proof-reading and editing them onto the document it would be published on. I now run the church Facebook and Instagram accounts and have developed leaflets to print and hand out.
