On the shop floor, I provided tailored customer service by identifying customer needs and advising on product options. I helped to maintain visually appealing and commercially effective displays by monitoring stock flow, replenishing key lines, and responding to sales trends in real time. My work on the shop floor also gave me experience in handling transactions, refunds, and exchanges with consistent accuracy, ensuring correct cash handling and compliance with store financial procedures. Furthermore, in terms of stock operations, I helped to ensure accuracy in stock handling by counting inventory, and updating internal systems, supporting reliable data used for daily sales and stock reporting.
In this role, I entered, updated, and organised sensitive data across internal systems, maintaining clean records essential for case timelines. This role also enhanced my skills in communication, specifically with clients via phone, email, and in person, ensuring clear information flow and timely responses. Throughout this role, I handled multiple tasks under tight deadlines, showing reliability, organisation, and the ability to manage workload in a high-stakes environment.
In this role, I worked in a fast-paced, high pressure environment, whilst always ensuring I delivered high quality customer service, consistently maintaining satisfaction scores. I adapted quickly to changing priorities and customer needs, demonstrating my strong problem-solving skills, as well as collaborating with both kitchen and front-of-house team members to streamline order accuracy and reduce errors, contributing to smoother operations.
