Production Performance of Broiler Chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) Fed with Psyllium Powder (Plantago ovate) Meal as Feed Supplement in the Ration.
Thesis conducted to determine the effect on the Prodction Performance of broiler chicken, as to the average weekly gain, the effect on feed consumption, the feed conversion efficiency, and the Return of Investment on broiler chicken with Psyllium powder meal on the diet ration.
General objective:
• To determine the effect of Psyllium powder meal on the Production performance of broiler chicken as feed supplement in the ration. • The study was conducted from 28thJanuary to 25th February at Barangay Angarian, Bugallon, Pangasinan, under the guidance of the Department of Zoo techniques, College of Veterinary Medicine, Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation, San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
Conclusion:
• Based on the findings of the study, the addition of Psyllium powder to the broiler diet in 28 days will give a significant decrease in the amount of feed consumed (FC) while increasing the weekly gain in weight (GW) of the birds which would result in a lower feed conversion ratio (FCR) and higher percent of return on investment (ROI%).
