Here, I appeared in Court for the Firm under the supervision of the Partner, and the type of cases that I dealt with, range from property, immigration, tenancy disputes and employment matters to name a few.

• I worked in the Litigation Department at Woodgrange Solicitors and built a very strong reputation, through the quality of my work and the results I achieved. I handled a good variety of cases under the supervision of the Partner of this Firm, such as basic Appeals against the ECO’s decision in immigration matters, employment, property, landlord and tenant, personal injury, probate and trusts issues.
• I represented clients at Court under supervision at the various Asylum and Immigration Tribunals around London. I was busy, and was in Court every day, and so have gained a lot of credibility with solicitors who have seen my work and seen me in Court.
• I have handled many cases in the field of Asylum and Immigration, but one example is where a student had applied for entry clearance for a student visa and the ECO refused the Application. There have been many occasions where I have been to Court where the Appellant has appealed against the decision of the ECO and I have drafted Grounds of Appeal before appearing for my clients at Appeal hearings.
• Hague – Charles Taylor case 2010
• I was at the International Criminal Court at the Hague and assisting the Defence team in the Charles Taylor Case, which was very valuable experience and a very different platform, I enjoyed my time; it was also a part of my 2nd Six pupillage.
• My pupil supervisor was Courtenay Griffiths KC and worked under supervision for nearly 2 years.

• Legal Internship with General Healthcare Group in which I drafted Opinions in on-going litigation, and I also dealt with a property conveyance case.

• Lecturing on Landlord and Tenant Law for 2 months from April 2008.

• I appeared in Court regularly on behalf of the Kent Law Clinic, which is a free legal representation service for the benefit of Kent residents.
• I was first on my feet on 2nd November 2002, representing a client for Social Security Appeal at the Tribunal.
• Whilst working for the Kent Law Clinic, I was drafting Particulars of Claim, Opinions, holding Conferences with clients, negotiating terms for Settlement in some cases, and so I was exposed to a breadth of different work.
• Practical Legal work experience in the field of Employment, Personal Injury, Landlord and Tenant, Professional Negligence and Property Law:
• Landlord and Tenant
• I conducted a range of cases in this field of law, especially Possession cases, where despite the serving of a Section 21 from the Landlord, the Tenant refused to leave the premises, and so, the only option is to obtain a Court Order. Other cases, concerning successive tenants under the Rent Act 1977 and the problem of possession where there is no fundamental breach of contract. I have dealt with cases where a Tenant was violent and so the fixed term section 20 (HA 1988) was put to an end by the service of section 21. I have also dealt with assured tenancies, where possession is restricted through the seeking of a statutory ground, and have seen the benefits of an assured shorthold tenancy for both Landlord and Tenant as opposed to an assured tenancy.
• Employment Law
• Unfair Dismissal:
• I enjoyed appearing in Court for clients in Employment cases such as unfair dismissal, through my work for Kent Law Clinic. I conducted a case where my client claimed that his employer did not adopt a fair procedure and did not investigate fully, the situation that led to the dismissal which made the conclusion for dismissal unjustified. My client also maintained that the reason for dismissal did not satisfy the qualifying reasons set out in Section 98 of the Employment Rights Act 1996.
• I have worked on a case where an employer Appealed against a determination of an Employment Tribunal that an employee had been unfairly dismissed from employment contrary to section 4 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975
• Constructive Dismissal:
• I have conducted cases concerning constructive dismissal (Employment Rights Act 1996, s. 95(1))) ,

Other cases for the KLC:

• I have also conducted professional negligence and personal injury cases, through my free representation work.
• Personal Injury is an area which interests me enormously. One of my first cases concerned personal injury, and I remember settling a very desirable compensation amount for my client which was gratifying to experience.

I am a tenant at 3 Bolt Court Chambers and have conducted more than 1100 cases, 3 of which are reported cases.

My current Chambers mostly receives instruction for family cases but where we are instructed for housing matters such as matters relating to possession, succession, trespass, discharge of a homelessness duty, I am usually sought by instructing solicitors for these matters.

I have a wonderful working relationship with my instructing solicitors.

I also taken on cases involving insolvency matters, personal injury and other commercial matters.

I was awarded a waiver for the remaining pupillage component because the BSB assessed I was eligible for a waiver given I had handled more than 4000 cases under supervision before starting my own practice.
