I am a compassionate and solutions-focused professional who has always had a passion for working within the community. I offer strong organisational and communication skills paired with a proactive and hands on approach to solving problems. I am looking forward to progressing my career and finding a rewarding role in which I can make a difference to peoples lives, whether that be in an educational or community setting. My experience as a theatre practitioner has equipped me with the tools needed to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds and to help support personal growth through exploring identity. As a teaching assistant I have also strengthened my abilities to support those with varied needs, helping them overcome barriers in not only their education but personal development.
As a senior teaching assistant I am responsible for supporting the class teacher by working with our lower ability students and ensuring they can access the workload. I am also trained and run extra phonics sessions 4 times per week and a weekly nurture group focusing on children's motor skills. I aid the teacher in developing individualised learning plans for those needing additional support.
As a bartender my duties were demonstrating a knowledge of drinks, managing stock levels efficiently, opening the bar and ensuring garnishes, bar equipment and the venue was ready for service. I was also responsible for cashing up at the end of the night and training new employees.
