I am a highly motivated and passionate individual who strives to achieve the highest standard possible in any sort of task I set out to complete. I am currently a college student pursuing a degree in Hairdressing with a strong commitment to developing expertise in the beauty and cosmetology industry. Asides from hairdressing in my free time I also enjoy baking, reading and writing stories. I was once hand picked as a BBC young reporter which was a huge honour, because It's not every day you get chosen to be the voice of your generation, and I embraced that responsibility with passion. I have gained good communication and teamwork skills over the years, as through out my time in school, British Heart Foundation and Foodies and Grubbies. I'd say I gained these skills from having to work in team through out school. I was once on the netball team where I had to meet new people and work with them in order to complete one goal which was to win, so I know what it takes to be a successful asset to a team. My ability to connect with people enables me to build lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike, enhancing team performance and contributing to a positive workplace culture. I bring a proactive approach to every task, ensuring that I can meet and exceed expectations even in high-pressure situations. I am adaptable and eager to grow professionally, embracing challenges as opportunities for personal and professional development.
During my time as a customer assistant, at the British Heart Foundation I gained valuable experience in providing excellent customer service. My role involved welcoming customers, assisting them with product inquires, handling sales and transactions and keeping the store organised.
I had the fantastic opportunity to volunteer as a waitress at a food pop-up restaurant was an exciting and fast-paced experience that taught me how to thrive in a dynamic, ever-changing environment. I was responsible for greeting and seating customers, taking orders, and ensuring a seamless dining experience from start to finish. In this role, I quickly learned how to manage high volumes of orders, handle customer inquiries, and adapt to the unique challenges that came with working at a temporary, pop-up venue. My ability to stay organized and maintain a positive, energetic attitude, even during busy times, was key to providing excellent service. Additionally, I developed strong communication skills by working closely with the kitchen team and other staff to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction, all while embracing the creativity and excitement that comes with being part of a pop-up dining experience.
