As an Educational Psychology graduate with a passion for promoting the mental health and well-being of children and young people, I bring a strong blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. My academic background has equipped me with a deep understanding of the cognitive, emotional, and social factors that influence learning and mental health, as well as evidence-based approaches to intervention and assessment.
Currently, I am training as a Trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioner (TEMHP), where I deliver low-intensity CBT-informed interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs. I also support Whole School Approaches and provide psychoeducation in educational settings, aiming to improve emotional well-being across the school community. In this role, I work closely with NHS Talking Therapies services and receive regular clinical supervision through the University of Sheffield, ensuring safe and effective practice grounded in current evidence and professional standards.
In addition to my academic and clinical training, I have hands-on experience supporting children and young people in a variety of roles including tutor, mentor, and volunteer. I have worked collaboratively with educators and multidisciplinary teams to address issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, behavioural difficulties, and learning challenges. I am committed to ongoing professional development and dedicated to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people through compassionate, evidence-based support.
