• Completed 3 month attachment across Endocrinology, Geriatrics, Nephrology and Emergency Medicine. Participated in ward rounds, patient clerking, case presentations, documentation, referrals and use of NHS electronic systems while gaining extensive exposure to NHS clinical practice.

Participated in QIP on Intraperitoneal vancomycin dosage, level and monitoring in PD peritonitis.Attended teaching ,MDT and ward discussions meeting.

• Observed NHS practice in Gastroenterology and General Medicine, attended specialist clinics, handovers, ward rounds and multidisciplinary team discussions.Attended weekly teaching sessions.

• Worked in busy Emergency Department caring for adults and children with wide range of medical, surgical, paediatric, accident and trauma presentations. Assessed patients on arrival, including those brought in by ambulance, and arranged appropriate investigations and treatment. Took part in resuscitation calls and management of critically ill patients alongside senior doctors, nurses and paramedics. Performed procedures such as cannulation, venepuncture, arterial blood gas sampling and wound care, while helping to ensure patients received timely and safe care.

• Worked in internal medicine caring for patients with heart failure, COPD, pneumonia, renal disease, acute medical conditions and post-operative complications. Admitted patients from Emergency Department and, completed clerking, arranged investigations and initiated management plans. Participated in daily ward rounds, reviewed patients independently, and prepared clinical updates for consultant-led rounds. Took part in medical on-call rota, assessing new admissions and responding to deteriorating patients. Performed practical procedures, coordinated care with nursing and allied health teams, and supported discharge planning. Also contributed to teaching sessions, clinical audits and quality improvement activities.

• Completed Foundation Year 1 rotations in General Medicine, General Surgery, Anaesthesia/ICU and Obstetrics & Gynaecology at a large tertiary teaching hospital. Provided day-to-day care for inpatients, assessed new admissions, monitored patients' progress and escalated concerns when required. Participated in ward rounds, prepared patients for consultant reviews, documented management plans and coordinated care with nursing and allied health colleagues.

In General Medicine and General Surgery, gained experience managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, undertaking on-call duties, reviewing unwell patients and assisting with discharge planning. During Anaesthesia and ICU, developed an understanding of peri-operative and critical care, including the assessment of critically ill patients and participation in emergency responses. In Obstetrics & Gynaecology, cared for women with obstetric and gynaecological conditions in both inpatient and acute settings, working closely with senior doctors and midwives.

Across all rotations, developed confidence in clinical assessment, requesting and interpreting investigations, performing procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation, and communicating effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
