In General Medicine and General Surgery, gained experience managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, undertaking on-call duties, reviewing unwell patients and assisting with discharge planning. During Anaesthesia and ICU, developed an understanding of peri-operative and critical care, including the assessment of critically ill patients and participation in emergency responses. In Obstetrics & Gynaecology, cared for women with obstetric and gynaecological conditions in both inpatient and acute settings, working closely with senior doctors and midwives.
Across all rotations, developed confidence in clinical assessment, requesting and interpreting investigations, performing procedures such as venepuncture, cannulation and catheterisation, and communicating effectively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
