  • Participated twice in the UK BEBRAS challenge created by the University of Oxford and achieved a Certificate of Distinction and Certificate of Merit
  • Participated in the British Physics Olympiad
  • Achieved the bronze award in the senior UKMT maths challenge

Extracurricular Activities

  • Attended online lectures from Zero Gravity aimed towards applications to university and future study
  • Attended the AWE Virtual Kick Off event, in which people who attended learnt about the organisation and the defence industry
  • Dedicated to Taekwondo for around 6 and a half years as I started at the age of 6 and with a lot of dedication and perseverance I became a black belt. Taekwondo had provided me with a lot of self discipline and self control.
  • Learned to video edit and made brickfilm animations. I would create brickfilm animations with the help of stop motion apps and would video edit on DaVinci Resolve. I also have experience video editing on Capcut, a mobile and desktop video editing software.

Projects

  • Currently working on creating a virtual flashcard software using python and the GUI library PySimpleGUI. In this software the user is able to sign up or register and is then able to create flashcard and store them in a database which they can access later. Before starting to code this I had done some research on online educational resources in order to find out what exactly I should include and what not.
  • Did a coursework in which I designed, developed, and attempted to create in real life a functional souvenir. The final product was a scimitar sword stand which contained a lamp, a clock and storage space. The most difficult part was to create the clock as I bought a DIY clock kit and had to solder components of the circuit together.
  • I have also done other small programming projects such as a quadratic formula program and a denary to hexadecimal converter up to 255.
