With a background in veterinary medicine and public health, I've worked across rural Pakistan and urban London, two contrasting settings that shaped my understanding of health equity, inclusion, and access. I began my career supporting farmers and underserved communities through animal health and education. Over time, this work deepened my awareness of the broader social and environmental factors influencing health. To have advanced knowledge and expertise on One Health, prompted me to pursue a Master's of Public Health in the UK.
Now at Barts Health NHS Trust in London, I support staff engagement and patient well-being, where I see how culture, identity, and language impact healthcare experiences. I have completed a course on Health Inequalities by The Royal College of Psychiatrists, which deepened my understanding of social determinants of health. Additionally, I hold the Care Certificate from Health Education England, reflecting my competence in delivering safe, person-centred care. My volunteer efforts including flood relief, disability outreach, and student-led health camps have taught me that inclusive, community-driven approaches are key to impactful public health.
As a member of the UK Faculty of Public Health, I am committed to promoting diversity, tackling inequalities, and ensuring all communities feel seen, heard, and valued within our health systems.
