Whilst I am working here I spend the day in the workshop doing vehicle and trailer inspections, carrying out repairs and general maintenance such as greasing up.

Not only do I work in the workshop I go out on call fixing tyres and repairing vehicles.

Alongside this I also maintain the plant equipment such as Diggers, Dozers, Crushers and Screeners.

I also work on Agricultural Machinery doing general up keep and repairs.

Whilst I worked for this company I got called out to many different sites around the country which entailed diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, general servicing, up keep on machinery ,implements and major repairs such as replacing a slew ring on a 13 ton excavator.

I also worked in the yard maintaining the companies own machinery which was Diggers, Dumpers and Tractors ready for them to go out for hire.

I also delt with customers when arriving and leaving sites and filled out the required paperwork for each job.

For the 4 year duration as a mechanic I was working for my father in which I did a 3 year apprenticeship achieving myself a level 3 motor vehicle Qualification and also achieved an F GAS certificate. In this 4 years of working at the company I also delt with the customer Service Side of it as well, when they came to drop off or pick up the vehicle.

My main roles included Servicing, general repairs such as (replacing breaks and exhausts) and major repairs such as (head gaskets and clutches)
