Act as the UK implementation team's subject matter expert for payroll configuration, data, workflows and automation, collaborating with Product, Operations and global implementation teams across the UK, APAC and Canada.
Technical Implementation & Data Operations
- Support payroll implementations across healthcare, hospitality, construction and cleaning industries, ranging from SMB to enterprise customers with 3,000+ employees.
- Deliver employee imports, opening balances, leave migrations, journals, pension setup, historical pay and payroll rule configurations.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation and cross-system data mapping to ensure accurate payroll setup and successful go-lives.
- Support complex payroll configurations, additional services and enterprise projects across multiple implementations.
Workflow Design & Automation
- First UK hire in a newly created Payroll Configuration Specialist role, responsible for building and scaling workflows, automation and operational processes for the UK implementation function.
- Led the design and implementation of the UK team's Vitally framework following migration from Asana.
- Designed and implemented project templates, workflows, playbooks, dashboards and automated communication processes to improve visibility and operational efficiency.
- Designed workflow automations across Vitally, Slack, Salesforce, Zapier and Google Drive to reduce manual effort.
- Reduced new client kick-off administration time from approximately 15 minutes to 7 minutes through workflow improvements.
- Support the development of an automated onboarding experience for enterprise clients.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Developed payroll scoping documents, validation spreadsheets and process documentation to improve data collection, payroll accuracy and project delivery.
- Designed reporting dashboards and KPI frameworks to improve project visibility and portfolio management.
AI & Continuous Improvement
- Embedded AI-first practices using ChatGPT and Gemini for documentation, formula development, troubleshooting and process design.
- Created an Opening Balance Reconciliation Tool that reduced validation time from 14 minutes to 3 minutes, saving approximately 78% of processing time.
- Proactively identify process gaps and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
