With more than 5 years of experience with which I have spent more than a year currently as a homemaker at Newton House, I have hands-on experience with activities of daily living such as medication management, mobility assistance as well as offering emotional support to both residents and families. In my previous roles, I have had to take on some leadership responsibilities, supervising junior staff, providing training and ensuring high standards of care are met consistently. I am comfortable leading shifts and delegating tasks to ensure that care activities are delivered efficiently according to health and safety regulations. I am resourceful and able to manage challenging situations with a calm approach at all times. I pay attention to details and maintain an accurate record of my work, I am proactive in identifying potential issues and taking necessary steps to resolve them while maintaining a safe and positive environment for both residents and families. I am an excellent communicator and can work with a multidisciplinary team, other healthcare professionals, families and management to create the best care plans.
