As an independent consultant and SME on technical accounting matters, I have provided transaction accounting advisory services (i.e., IFRS conversion, accounting policy alignment, financial reporting system integration, reviewing assets valuation basis and purchase price allocation.)

• Provided IFRS accounting advice to both audit and non-audit clients of Deloitte and worked closely with business, Corporate Finance, and Tax Structuring teams to provide accounting and reporting advisory support in the context of complex transactions (involving mergers and acquisitions, consolidation, revenue recognition, leases, and financial instruments)
• Led a team of 5-8 colleagues on various IFRS conversion and new IFRS implementation engagements.
• Long term secondment to large size corporates:

Supported the global reporting and accounting advisory team of SABIC (world's leading petrochemical company).

Responsibilities:

• Provided accounting advice on asset transfers, carve-outs, and group restructurings, including commentary on proposed corporate structures and their accounting implications.
• Assisted with financial reporting and reviewed accounting position papers.
• Acted as a finance business partner, liaising between the finance and operations teams to critically analyze and evaluate various group initiatives.

Assisted with Saudi Aramco's $69 billion acquisition of the leading petrochemical company in KSA, providing transaction support services and leading the accounting, consolidation, and disclosures workstream.

Responsibilities:

• Aligned accounting policies and collaborated with the PPA/tax workstream to identify and unwind Day 1 PPA adjustments, reflecting acquisition-related changes in the annual financial statements.
• Developed the framework, process, and model for inventory profit elimination, significantly impacting the Profit and Loss (PnL) statement.
• Managed the consolidation and integration of the acquired company's accounts with Aramco, conducting a series of dry runs to ensure day 1 readiness.

• Target Operating Model Implementation and Project Management: managed the migration of outsourced operating processes for PIMCO Asset Management Europe, a major US-based fund manager, supervised the transfer agency migration, and engaged with senior client stakeholders.
