As an Assistant Teacher Volunteer in a Year 8 English classroom, I undertook a myriad of responsibilities that honed my pedagogical skills and fostered my professional growth. My role involved supporting the lead teacher by facilitating small group discussions, assisting in lesson planning, and providing individualised attention to students requiring additional support. I was tasked with the preparation of educational materials, marking assignments, and maintaining a conducive learning environment. This experience endowed me with an array of key skills, including effective communication, classroom management, and adaptability, while enhancing my ability to engage students and inspire a passion for literature.
