Duties and responsibilities include:

• Attending ward rounds with consultants and junior doctors, interacting with patients on consultant orders.

• Observing different diagnostic and therapeutic clinical procedures.(Angiography, Angioplasty, Cardiac Nuclear Scan)
• Presenting the patients to consultant after preparing the case.
• Observing and getting familiar with the NHS system and different referral pathways.
• Attending lectures.

• Clerking elective and emergency admissions

• Managing medical emergencies with the help of seniors.

• Assessing patients by taking appropriate history and performing relevant examination, and documenting in the patient notes

• Performing medical procedures (taking blood sample , catheterization, IV canulation)

• Helping patients from admission to discharge with their prescriptions and referrals.
• Participating in ward rounds.
• Presenting cases to my seniors and consultants .
• Declaring death and completion of death certificates

• Pre-operative assesment and requesting investigations including fitness for anaesthesia and surgery.

• Observing surgical procedures from surgeons
• Post-operative care
• Wound management
• Peritoneocentesis
• Dressing
• Suturing

• Managing patients in rural places for 61 days (medical camp)

Night duties to monitor patients in ICU
• Presenting seminars every week.
• Attending Symposium in different departments as a add-on course.
• Educating patients and public in rural places.
• Attending free medical camp arranged by hospital
• Attending COVID vaccination program.
• Teaching to junior medical and physician assistant students.

• Assisted in hair transplant techniques and PRP procedures.

• As a Intern , I worked in both in- patient and outpatient settings in different departments.
(ROTATIONS: General Medicine, General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopedics & Traumatology, Pediatrics, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Preventive and Social Medicine)

• Managing trauma patients and coordinating care in emergency situations.

• Handling emergency cases such as myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and other acute medical emergencies.
• Monitoring patients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.

• Attending Rotational posts within medicine departments (Cardiology, Respiratory medicine, Infectious)

• Learning and Practicing various surgical skills (suturing, dressing, peritoneocentesis, pericardiocentesis, incision and drainage, etc..)
