I have a deep interest in understanding cultural dynamics and human behaviour and through studying social anthropology i developed a strong understanding. I further explored this interest through traveling, and engaging with the local people, challenging myself to adapt to the norms of the country by picking up phrases in the local language and adopting their customs.
I have a particular interest in the effects of religion on people's day to day lives, which I had the privilege to explore through creating learning materials for Westminster Abby.
I participated in Kings Collage London's widening participation scheme called K+ which allowed me to experience university before attending Durham University. This experience taught me skills such as communication, networking and problem solving.
Additionally I am knowledgeable in qualitative and quantitative research, data analysis, participant observation studies as well as interview techniques skills i learnt as part of my degree.
I had the privilege to explore through creating learning materials for Westminster Abby, This focused on their depiction of the modern martyrs which adorn the west door of the Abby. My partner and I chose to present my piece as a informative video which focuses of the stories of both the modern and traditional martyrs of christianity. To piece this together we used resources available online as well as materials exclusive to the Abby, then created a story board for our final piece.
