  • During my time at KCC I worked to three senior Policy Managers within KCC, helping them with whatever they needed to make things run smoothly. I did this by:
  • - Looking after their diaries and keeping them organized.
  • - Arranging and taking minutes of a variety of meetings, from small 1:1's to large director level that were attended by multi-agencies across Kent. Some of these meetings were used to disseminate important government legislation and top-level decisions made.
  • - I was involved with the processing of invoices and maintaining three budget lines for the Policy Managers. This included both manually processing them, as well as using iProcurement. I had regular budget meetings with the managers and the finance department.
  • - I was involved with the running of the office on a daily basis, and worked as part of a team to make sure that the phones were answered and enquiries taken care of, as well as working on my own initiative.
  • - I helped with the putting together of presentations for managers by using PowerPoint, Word and Excel, as well as being a point of information for the others in my team.
  • - I ran a rolling register for people in Kent on Guardianship Orders, which meant liaising with mental health professionals.
  • - Due to the fact that I liaised with both internal and external agencies, I was the key person with regard to the keeping of and sharing of vital information.
