• Proposed (and received approval) to run a project that will create the Bank's 1st ever Fund of Fund, targeting UK pension funds (leveraging knowledge and contacts with the UK LGPS ecosystem)

Current Responsibilities

• Critically appraising proposals from fund managers, including in-depth analysis of track records, team dynamics and other aspects

• Support investment proposals through the internal investment processes, e.g. preparing documents and presenting at investment committee meetings

• Working with internal teams and specialist legal advisors to understand and negotiate investment legal documentation to ensure consistency with the commercially agreed terms

• Managing a portfolio of early-stage venture Fund investments, attending advisory board meetings of venture funds, communicating issues to stakeholders, including fund managers

• Proactively undertaking and producing analysis which will support the Venture Solutions team, including analysis of the external market

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day relationship manager for a selection of delivery partners, including leading all aspects of portfolio management
• Manager future pipeline and investment opportunities in the debt funds team
• Prepare and present reports and analysis for presentation to the BBI Investment Committee

• Identified errors and inconsistencies in fund data recording and subsequently became project lead on the retrospective reconciliation of 2x Investment Portfolios to their respective Capital Account Statements to ensure accuracy of internal data
• Built and subsequently rolled out the Excel based departmental pacing model designed to ensure structured and well-paced investment activity across sector, risk spectrum and vintage
• Assumed responsibility for reviewing legal all the documents for the Private Markets team including Limited Partnership Agreements, Trust Documents, Intercreditor Agreements etc for a 6-month period while a replacement in-house lawyer was sought

Responsibilities

• Solely responsible for managing GMPF's Overseas Property Portfolio, £1.2bn allocation.
• Sourced and committed c.£500m of equity across 2 co-investments and 15 funds covering the real estate and real estate debt asset classes across the U.S., Europe and Asia
• Assisted in the management and oversight of GMPF's UK focused Impact Portfolio, which has a target allocation of £1bn and c.£400m of committed equity across 2 strategic partnerships and 13 funds
• Prepared detailed and comprehensive, reports, underpinned by robust quantitative and qualitative analysis, to support investment recommendations
• Reviewed financial models, tested assumptions and collaborated with other investment professionals to evaluate the business strategy of co-investments

• Recovered, within the first 3 months, in excess of £70,000 of 'missing' income due from the franchisor, a significant amount for a UK SME
• Created a more comprehensive way of capturing sales staff commissions and built-in duplicate payment fail-safes in a previously manual process
• Set up the Finance Department, including accounting package selection, setting up an appropriate company Chart of Accounts to best capture transactional data of the business and creating monthly Management Accounts pack
