Rover Project-
- Designed and built an autonomous rover to complete a 4 m course in under 3 minutes and dispense blocks at designated zones.
- Took a leadership role by assigning tasks, managing workflow, and coordinating team collaboration.
- Conducted Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) to validate the CAD design (Creo Parametric) for stresses and safety factors.
- Contributed to fabrication using 3D printing, machining, and manual tools (e.g., lathe, handsaw, files) for components like axles.
- Created schematic drawings of the rover to ensure components fitted to scale.
Plum Blob- Manufactured a precision-machined plumb blob from an aluminium rod based on an engineering drawing.
- Prepared raw stock using a bandsaw and hacksaw, then split machining tasks with a partner (main body vs. threaded screw).
- Operated a centre lathe to face ends, drill pilot and through-holes, and ensure perpendicularity and smooth finish.
- Performed external turning at a 45° tool post angle to achieve the specified conical profile and final dimensions.
