I am a friendly person who genuinely enjoys working with children and seeing them grow in confidence. I have always enjoyed helping others, explaining things when someone is struggling and encouraging people to believe in themselves. I learn new skills quickly and enjoy meeting and communicating with different people. Explore Learning has been a big part of my life, as I attended the centre for around 11 years from a young age. Because of this, I understand the environment from a student’s perspective and have seen first hand how tutors can make learning more enjoyable. I would love the opportunity to now give something back to Explore Learning by helping younger students in the same way that tutors once helped me.
I am a native Polish speaker and speak English extremely confidently. I am also learning Spanish in my free time because I genuinely enjoy languages and challenging myself to learn something new. Outside of my studies, I have a strong interest in politics and enjoy debating different topics. I like listening to different opinions, having meaningful discussions and learning from people who may see things differently from me. I believe these experiences have helped me become a confident person who would be happy to bring positive energy and enthusiasm to the Explore Learning team.
Working part-time at the hotel gave me the opportunity to work closely with guests and meet people from many different backgrounds. My main responsibilities included serving breakfast, making sure guests had everything they needed and keeping the hotel clean, welcoming and comfortable. I really enjoyed speaking with guests and tourists, learning about their plans and helping them decide what places to visit and what activities to do during their stay. I always tried to make people feel welcome and comfortable, even through small conversations or simple acts of help. Working as part of a team also taught me how important it is to support each other and take responsibility for getting things done properly.
This experience taught me much more than just how to do a job. It helped me grow as a person, become more confident when speaking to people, take responsibility for my work and learn how to deal with situations I had never experienced before. It showed me the importance of being patient, helpful and respectful towards others, and gave me confidence that I can adapt and handle new challenges in life.
