In 1984 I started work at the Family Practitioner Committee. I was based in the Admin department and dealt with patients registering with a GP in Birmingham.
The FPC then changed the the FHSA, then Birmingham Health Authority,
then BEN PCT. I did various roles throughout the years but my roles were mainly focused an GP clinical systems, data quality, training on new systems such as GP links and Choose and Book. My last role I undertook was as an IT facilitator. I looked after 24 practices in the North locality and looked at the quality of the patient data, created templates, training on the clinical system and ran various projects with the practices to ensure a high level of good data quality.
