I had several roles within my time at Barclays, but always in the Mortgage Department.

  • I began in data entry, transferring mortgage payments from the corporate bank account into customers individual accounts. This was an important role as any errors could potentially delay house moves and cause complaints.
  • My next role was in the Redemption Department, once funds were applied to the account there was the potential for either an overpayment, where a refund would be issued, or an underpayment where we would need to investigate and then contact the customer or solicitors to request further funds.
  • I then worked in the Complaints Team, working with colleagues, customers and solicitors to resolve various issues

In addition to my extensive customer service experience I have also worked in childcare.

I have also been fortunate enough to have also gained experience through volunteering.

I was a Games Maker during the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics in the Protocol team, working to assist royalty and dignitaries from around the world, to enjoy the games. I was also a youth leader in the Girl Guide Organisation for many years.
