As of now i don't have a wide history of past employers but i have worked under my father as an automotive mechanic during the summers in which a stay dedicated working every day staying motivated through my progress in maintaining as well as organising the workspace. I've also carried out work experience through my school careers education organisation. During this time i was able to seek out any employer willing to take me aboard and carry out 2 days of work for them . Personally i chose to use these days to investigate teaching as a potential career path through Gealscoil na gCrann, which is an Irish primary school in which i attended. It was during these days I acted as a teaching assistant for a p3 classroom. During this time i felt i gathered a strong sense of patience and understanding for the students. It was a job that required extreme tolerance and composure towards the children as you had to allow them to carry out problem solving while giving them guidance and direction along the way. In the end i realised is wasn't the career choice or direction i wished to pursue instead prefer a more active and involved role.
Throughout my life i have built a strong ability to work in a team under a stressful and high pace environments This has has been constructed over years of playing a range of team based sports Including most recently basketball, basketball is one of the fastest paced team based sports in the world its given me a new found appreciation for high pressure work climates especially when the stakes are high In basketball you learn the importance of relying on your piers and giving over the ball in a heartbeat if the moment arises Communication is one if not the most vital skill in basketball you must be able to accurately communicate with the entire team where you want them and what you want done, if the communication is poor in a team they're not likely to succeed And i'm proud to say that despite a long journey my team has been able to succeed time and time again However while teamwork is a key skill to excel in any working environment being independent is also critical skill for a functional worker The first sport i ever took up was martial arts while naive to it at the time i now realise i have a fine tuned ability to think quickly and independently In martial arts there's no team surrounding you cheering you on it's simply you versus another lone person A fundamental of martial arts is the aptitude for quick and decisive action to take control of the situation there is no room for error You must read the situation as it arrives and choose the correct course of action and i can confidently say after 8 years of practice i know i have truly mastered this skill As previously stated i am multi lingual on the surface this seems like a somewhat useful but ultimately unimportant talent in many careers however scientific research proves being multilingual enhances brain function and cognitive ability allowing individuals who are multilingual to make connections quicker in the brain drastically aiding in problem solving skills as the brain is far more flexible in its ability to think after years of practice in multiple languages On top of this in high pace environments is where the bilingual brain excels being able to juggle multiple tasks while filtering out potential distractions
