I joined Joined Merseyside Police in September 2020 through the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, combining academic study with operational policing. Over five years, developed extensive experience across emergency response, safeguarding, and community engagement. Completed a structured rotation in Response and Resolution, attending priority incidents and supporting vulnerable individuals. Gained further exposure through departmental attachments focused on investigations, disruption tactics, and proactive community work. Most recently aligned to the Scheduled Resolution Unit, specialising in managing vulnerable victims, handling crime reports, and implementing safeguarding strategies. Actively seeking progression to deepen professional impact and continue personal development within the policing profession.
I joined Merseyside Police in 2020 as part of the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, jumping straight into frontline duties while balancing study and training. It was a steep learning curve, but one I fully embraced. Over the last five years, I’ve built a strong foundation in policing—gaining confidence, developing sound judgement, and learning to adapt to whatever situation I'm faced with.
I started out in Response and Resolution, where no two days were the same. I handled fast-moving incidents, made quick decisions, and offered support to people in difficult and sometimes distressing circumstances. It taught me how to stay calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and respond with empathy.
Through different attachments, I got involved with proactive policing, disruption work, and investigations. Working alongside teams across the force gave me a real appreciation of how we make lasting, meaningful change in our communities.
More recently, I’ve worked in the Scheduled Resolution Unit, where I’ve focused on safeguarding and supporting vulnerable victims. The work can be demanding—it takes patience, compassion, and a close attention to detail—but it’s also incredibly fulfilling. Helping someone feel safe, listened to, and supported makes all the difference.
I’m proud of what I’ve achieved so far and I’m excited about the path ahead. I’m always looking to challenge myself, take on new opportunities, and keep developing as a police officer.
