As a Site Manager operating on large‑scale commercial warehouse and building developments with project values ranging from £50m to £170m, my role is centred on driving delivery on site by providing strong operational support to the wider project and operations teams. I take responsibility for the day‑to‑day management and coordination of subcontractors, ensuring works are progressed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements. Acting as the on‑site manager, I take full ownership of defined packages and smaller projects within much larger schemes, independently managing specific areas of work from early planning and sequencing through to completion and handover. I have been directly involved in the installation and coordination of multiple project elements, including utility infrastructure for gas, electricity, water, and telecommunications, as well as earthworks and remediation packages that form critical early stages of the build programme. My experience also includes overseeing the installation of steel structures and maintaining close liaison with specialist lifting teams to plan, coordinate, and safely execute all lifting operations in accordance with RAMS and lifting plans. I work closely with streetworks and utility providers to manage statutory approvals, connections, testing, and commissioning of all services, ensuring minimal risk to programme delivery. My responsibilities extend to managing site inductions, organising labour, plant, and resources, leading daily briefings and morning coordination meetings with contractors, and ensuring personnel are suitably trained and competent for their roles by arranging and tracking relevant training requirements. With a strong commercial background, I consistently adopt a cost‑conscious, value‑driven approach, offering practical and financially appropriate solutions to site challenges while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and programme control.
