I have developed the structure to support both the Product group structure, through to VB build and then PVT support to the Agile in Launch teams. Key focus on robust engineering release process and overall system process control (e.g. through DFMEA to YCYS, into PFMEA and control plans).

In this role I have a team of 10 Engineers, and I have overall responsibility for all Body and Chassis Engineering components. My key metrics are 0 and 3 Months in service warranty, 3 Months in service Roadside Assist performance, and driving all Body and Chassis engineering changes to improve the plants key quality metrics (e.g. First time through / Right First Time). I am also responsible for ensuring that all new models are introduced into the plant and achieve the key launch metrics prior to handover to the current car teams. A key part of achieving these metrics is the use of analytical and problem solving tools, such as 8D and Six Sigma tools (DMAICR).

Quality Project Manager

Jaguar Land Rover
09.2015 - 07.2016
  • In this role I had the initial overall responsibility for developing the quality strategy, Plant Quality organisation, and facilities for a new overseas (Eastern Europe) manufacturing operations plant. I ensured that the new plant was compliant to all procedural and legislative regulations and ensured that all key targets were met (e.g. Capital expenditure, Operating expenditure, and key launch milestones).

Trim and Final Launch Manager

Jaguar Land Rover

04.2011 - 09.2015
  • I was responsible for the introduction of all new models into the Halewood plant Trim and Final area (including model year introductions and full new model launches). My key tasks included budget creation and tracking and ensuring that new models were launched across a 3-shift operating pattern with minimal disruption to current production. I successfully managed the introduction of the Landrover Freelander 2, Range Rover Evoque (13, 14 and 15 model years) and Landrover Discovery Sport launch, on time and to target for both cost and warranty. In this role I had a direct team of 36 people, comprised of Engineers and Technical Specialist Product Coaches. This role also involved working with Trade Unions and cross site activities (e.g. best practice sharing).

Trim and Final Current Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Jaguar Land Rover
Halewood, Merseyside
04.2008 - 04.2011
  • In this role I managed a team of ten Engineers that were responsible for developing and improving the current model production processes (Jaguar X-Type, Land Rover Freelander 2 and the Range Rover Evoque) for the Trim and Final area. Primary tasks were to ensure that all current production processes / procedures were followed, quality targets were met (e.g. First Time Through, and Zero Months in Service Warranty) and managing engineering changes across a three shift production operation. I was responsible for driving continuous improvement activities to enable annual cost / volume and quality targets to be met.

Body Shop Production Manager

Jaguar Land Rover
Halewood, Merseyside
10.2007 - 04.2008
