Summary

I am a hardworking, driven Facilities Manager. Throughout my working career i have always strived to better myself learn from the working environment i am in, ultimately trying to make that environment better for business needs and requirements, and also department needs and requirements. From my vast experience of working currently as the Facilities and Maintenance manager at the world renowned Durham Cathedral site and my former role as head of Technical services at Sunderland Football Club, my task and duties have varied massively. My current role is the running of our Fabric department within the Cathedral, and also managing all external properties which sit amongst a ever-growing portfolio of up to 300 external properties and land. I am tasked with planning all our capital works and running all budgets lines that fall within that remit. I also manage all our soft and hard service operations. I am currently leading on our Net zero targets, and preparing for a groundbreaking switch to renewables energies which could save the Cathedral up to 400k a year in utility bills. I have strong leadership qualities and lead a team of over 50 staff, ranging from skilled tradespersons to cleaning operatives. I have excellent relations with all internal and external stakeholders, with whom i liaise with on a daily basis.

My role previous to Durham Cathedral was as Head of Technical services at Sunderland Football Club. Again this was a high pressured, high energy role. Controlling yearly budgets of up to 4million, creating new PPM schedules which where more beneficial to our properties, Leading on all capital projects. I also managed all our hard and soft services. Throughout my career i have constantly looked at ways to improve my own skills, and add relevant knowledge and experience to my role. I Trained as joiner when left school, and also have qualification's in engineering. I am IOSH trained in health and safety, and start my NEEBOSH training in September 23. I also have my Site Manager and Site supervisor Qualifications, and my HNC in facilities management. I am also management level certified in legionella and asbestos.

I am looking for a new challenge, and feel that my skills and experience could be a real benefit to any organization.
