Summary

I am a hard working student that balances work and studies around my life. My plan is to finish my foundation degree whilst starting a new job that still requires me to study, such as an apprenticeship. My life involves taking care of five younger siblings. In the past, when my sister has been in hospital due to her heart condition, I have independently taken care of my other siblings, from a baby to a teenager, whilst also finding time for my A-Levels and my promotion at work. In my spare time I enjoy art, gaming on my console with my friends and board games with my boyfriend. I also enjoy cooking and baking, as well as reading books and spending time with friends and family.

  • I started as a front of house Nandoca, which was my role for roughly the first year of my career.
  • In this role, I was able to carry out customer service efficiently and quickly, as well as improving average sales through promoting items on the menu.
  • Upon my promotion, I became a front and back of house Nandoca, meaning I quickly adapted to preparing and cooking food as well as serving it to the customers.
  • As a buddy I have gained the experience to be part of the discussion whether the potential employee has succeeded on the discovery days or not, then train the trainees and help decide whether they have passed their probation or not.
  • I then help the trainees to understand their role in the restaurant.
  • I also have a responsibility within the restaurant, which changes seasonally.
  • This responsibility is paired with a manager where we work together to ensure the restaurant is orderly and well-kept.
  • I have completed manager courses, such as ‘Communication and Feedback' in order to better understand my role and to learn how to communicate effectively with trainees.
  • As a buddy, I assist managers on shift by helping them with managerial jobs, such as deliveries and stock.
