Mhairi Loughran

• Serving customers and assisting/directing them in all departments within the business. Call handling using good communication skills and problem solving skills and cash handling. Part of a team in a very fast paced work environment. Specialising in homeware department- visual merchandising and restocking, ordering products for customers and advising on suitable products to suit each customers need.

I worked in a Montessori school in America with pre school/reception children. My role in this position included teaching the children basic maths and English aswell as practical skills. I organised activities and Rota’s throughout the day and also supervised/prepared all meals. Within My job I kept notes and documented the children’s day. I liaised with the parents throughout the day personally or via phone calls. I attended first aid training each year within the job.

• I Worked front of house in Peckhams in Lenzie, which was an upmarket, liscensed delicatessen . My role included greeting customers on arrival, advising and serving. Recommending food and beverage pairings. Good knowledge on cheese and charcuterie aswell as completing wine sect exam. Answering telephone calls and locating products from sister stores. I was Night shift manager and this required making sure the store was cleaned restocked and well presented for the next morning. This also required balancing the checkout at the end of my shift. I was a key holder, trusted with locking and securing the store at closing. Other duties included housekeeping, food preparation and barista skills.

• I greeted and served customers in this busy upscale cafe. I prepared food and beverage to a high standard. Observed Good housekeeping and hygiene practise. Duties also included cash handling and was a key holder, opening and shutting store when required.
