Over the course of my tenure as Deputy Headmistress, I have retained a significant teaching role within the School, leading RE, RSE, PSHE and Humanities over multiple classes in key stage 2. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I have:

• initiated a programme of mental wellbeing, focusing on enabling staff and pupils to a foster positive approach towards their mental health;
• been involved with the acquisition process, leading to a change of proprietor for our school;
• taken a lead resistibility for the scheduling and timetabling of lessons, cover and assessments across the School, ensuring continuity for the children;
• ensured that all pupils can access an achieve of their full potential in assessment scenarios by providing appropriate adult support and resources in line with their individual education plan;
• taken a lead role in developing Autism Awareness across the School; delivering training and offering support to colleagues to enable the best outcomes for pupils within their care;
• as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), I have taken ownership of the safeguarding requirements within the School, delivering training to others, maintaining accurate and effective records and managing safeguarding process as appropriate. In order to do this, I undertake regular CPD and attending forums initiated by OSCP;
• been key in the development of behaviour management policies and processes, modelling these to others to promote an environment of positive behaviour management across the School;
• taken a key role in ISI inspections, leading the safeguarding agenda and also evidencing the professionalism and knowledge that comes as being part of a successful senior leadership team.

• enabled a positive learning environment by implementing creative teaching methods which enhanced pupil engagement and attainment;
• differentiated lesson delivery and class assessments to the needs of various abilities, learning styles and educational needs, thus fostering inclusive education and access to the curriculum;
• adapted teaching materials to meet needs of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) pupils;
• implemented school policies effectively, managing classrooms effectively, ensuring positive behaviour and a conducive space for learning.
• coordinated trips and visits to supplement curriculum-based learning.
• collaborated with parents and external parties to feedback on pupil progress and plan next steps;
• offered extracurricular activities promoting holistic development of pupils;
• participated in staff meetings actively, contributing ideas for school development and creating a welcoming school community;
• promoted physical, mental and social development by implementing classroom games and outdoor recreational activities; and
• collected, analysed and tracked data on student progress.
