When I first joined St Ambrose School I was a full time class teacher.

After having my children I have worked there on a part time basis.

The last 5 years I have been the Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator with many responsibilities including:

• Gathering resources to assist deaf or sensory processing challenged students in understanding lessons.
• Adapting learning environments to provide safe, accessible spaces.
• Liaising with external support providers to deliver high-quality resources and instruction.
• Keeping student records updated with current information.
• Identifying signs of distress in students, resolving behavioural and emotional issues.
• Building trusting, respectful relationships with pupils and parents through attentive listening and communication abilities.
• Offering guidance and advice to parents on educational and social matters relating to SEN students.

My first teaching position involved me working with 4-7 year olds with a variety of responsibilities including:

• Differentiating lesson delivery and class assessments to needs of various abilities, learning styles and educational needs.
• Strengthening class management techniques to elevate student behaviour, improving focus and engagement.
• Collaborating with administrators to develop classroom policies, management strategies and discipline methods.
• Working collaboratively with other teachers to review data and develop instructional strategies to address student learning objectives.
