I am a motivated secretary eager to contribute in a different role now as a sales assistant in a company I am interested in. I have good customer service experience both over the telephone and face to face and am confident in dealing with the public. I am prepared to learn all about the company and all of the products. I am used to dealing with targets, operating till systems and handling of financial transactions and exchanges. I like to give my ideas and views. I am also used to working under pressure in the NHS.
My current job involves working in the gynae fertility department for a consultant at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The role is wide and varied and I have a lot of contact with patients via the telephone managing results, appointments, clinics and referrals to CARE Fertility Leeds. A large proportion of my job also involves audio typing of clinics, results, general letters, admin etc. I manage the consultants diary and deal with clinic cancellations and amendments. I also bring to the attention of my consultant anything urgent like test results and make prompt decisions on patient's queries and prioritising my workload. Any complaints from patients are dealt with over the telephone and if they wish to pursue this, I forward them to the appropriate team if this is recommended. I have also previously worked at Cardiology Department, Airedale Hospital for 11 years, Orthopaedics Department, Dermatology Department and Plastic Surgery for different consultants.
I worked as a cashier for Natwest Bank and also dealt with customers in the banking hall with enquires and the selling of Natwest products and accounts. This involved setting up bank accounts, savings, dealing with general enquiries, taking identifications etc. I was also used to working to targets on a weekly basis and we had daily morning meetings on what targets should be met. If the bank succeeded its monthly targets, we received a bonus in our pay.
My job role was working as an administrator in various teams for Abbey National, one of which was home insurance. I dealt with customers on a daily basis and sold the products from Abbey National.
