I have been a part of delegation of top ranking students from all over Pakistan ,sent by the government of Pakistan to visit top universities in UK, Sweden, Denmark, Turkey, Germany and Oman in year 2011 and 2013. The delegation had honorary visit to the House of Lords and the House of Commons along with complementary lunches. We visited high ranking universities all across these countries for potential options for studying undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I was very fascinated by the prestigious institutes like University of OXFORD and University of CAMBRIDGE and University of Manchester.
I am a doctor with exemplary academic achievements and a diverse range of clinical and diagnostic experience. My commitment to haematology and disease research stems from both personal inspiration and professional experience. Growing up with my father, a consultant haematologist, I developed an early curiosity about blood disorders and the cellular mechanisms underlying disease. This interest deepened throughout my medical training and clinical practice.. During my medical education at Nishtar Medical University, I developed a strong interest in Pathology, earning regional distinctions in 2015 and 2016 along with a GOLD MEDAL in subject of Pathology. My passion for Clinical Haematology grew from this foundation, and I further strengthened it while working in the Pathology Laboratory at Ch Pervaiz Elahi Institute of Cardiology, where I gained valuable hands-on experience under the supervision of senior mentors.
Currently, I am undertaking GP Specialty Training (GPST1) in the NHS at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury (A&E Department), which has enhanced my understanding of patient-centred care and multidisciplinary practice within the UK healthcare system. In the long term, I aspire to specialise in Clinical Haematology, combining my clinical expertise and research interests to contribute to advancements in the diagnosis and management of haematological disorders.
