  • Heavy lifting was essential for this job in order to get the the job done.
  • In this job role I was trained for a variety of job sections around the warehouse for the best experience and to allow me to be adaptable in any new roles, this helped me enhance my multitasking skills.
  • Sorting on a kalian (warehouse sorting machine) allowed the team to hit targets faster and ensure all parcels have been scanned and placed in the correct totes before dispatches.
  • To ensure all totes have been dispatched correctly, i had to make sure to correctly place totes in the right aisles.
  • Loading Lorries/HGV, this was done every hour to help clear the warehouse while more totes were being sorted.
  • Using machinery and handheld scanners to make sure all parcels have been scanned as this allowed data to be sent off to the management for the data analysis.
  • Fixing damaged parcels which allowed high volume of parcels to be continued to be sent out to dispatch.
  • Cleaning maintenance was essential as it allowed everyone to stay safe and continue doing their workload without any safety issues.
