I am a friendly, hardworking and motivated individual who has a thirst for learning new skills and getting hands on experience. From 2015 - 2021, I worked at Sports Direct, and from 2021 I have been working in a cinema, therefore I have a lot of experience in the retail sector and am able to provide excellent customer service. During my time at Sports Direct, I worked my way up from the bottom and had a lot of responsibilities within the job that not every employee had, showing that I am committed to the role and furthering my professional development. The same can be said for my job at the cinema currently. I have more responsibilities than some other team members; I am currently a TMBM, which means occasionally I take on the role of a Team Leader. I feel I am a very trustworthy and reliable employee who is always happy to help out where possible, whether that's doing extra shifts or taking on more responsibility to ease the pressure off my fellow peers. More recently, I worked at the Sports Centre at Meole Brace School where I was in charge of the site during operating hours on the weekend. This meant that I was responsible for a set of keys to open and secure different areas of the building. I felt like it was a great opportunity for me to push myself out of my comfort zone and take on some extra responsibility, even more so since I was the sole worker there at those times.
Overall, I am very eager for practical and hands on working environments.
I believe I am a very passionate person who loves the little things in life; the calm of nature on a cool summer's day, trees rustling in the breeze, birds chirping - the smell of the ocean, the sound of the waves as the tide washes over your toes - how bright the stars are, the beauty of the moon - the way a film or a song can make you feel a certain way - the sound of a friend's laugh when you've told a joke, or their smile when they realise you've listened to a song they recommended.
Some of my other passions include music, films, games, art and reading. I also love spending time with family and friends, enjoying outdoor and indoor activities alike. I do believe there is no better way to reset than to sit in nature enjoying a good book.
