A dedicated third-year Geoscience student, eager to apply geological expertise and analytical skills to the offshore wind energy sector. An academic background providing a solid foundation in GIS software, environmental sustainability, and geotechnical analysis. Aiming to apply this knowledge in geotechnical analysis, environmental impact assessments, and geological mapping to support offshore wind farm development. Keen to gain hands-on experience on offshore site assessments, ground investigations, and understanding safety protocols on sites. Completed an independent proposal project on finding solutions to help mitigate marine impact of offshore wind farms, providing a valuable insight into the offshore wind sector, and demonstrating passion towards responsible and sustainable engineering practices. A flexible and innovative problem-solver who thrives in dynamic, multi-disciplinary environments. Excels in collaborative team settings, where strong communication and adaptability are essential in understanding and meeting project requirements. • Grant Proposal, Glasgow Fund for Oceanographic Research Excellence, Developed a five-page “mock” research proposal on helping mitigate the impacts of offshore wind farms on marine life, proposing geotechnical environmental solutions to ensure sustainable offshore development.
• Geological surveying, Isle of Arran, One-week field project, Conducted sedimentary logging and cross-section analysis across multiple locations to determine the best aquifer for a hypothetical distillery water source., Mapped geological structures in Lochranza, documenting lithological boundaries and depositional environments., Collected notebook observations and interpretations to evaluate ground stability and hydrogeological potential.
• Glacial field investigations, Isle of Mull, Five-day field trip, Mapped past glacial landscapes, identifying key features such as moraines and drumlins, relevant to understanding past environments, sedimentary deposits, and land stability.
