  • My primary role is to design, organise, and lead activities for participants ranging from 4-50+ years of age.
  • Delivering clear instructions and actively listening to participants is essential to ensure their enjoyment, but also to maintain a safe and inclusive environment by promoting respect and encouraging teamwork.
  • During the summer months, our site welcomes over 1000 children, requiring smooth coordination of activities and communication between staff members even during high-stress situations.
  • Balancing my degree alongside has taught me how to effectively prioritise and manage my workload, enhancing my organisational skills which I believe are essential for any career.
  • Qualifications: First Aid, Safeguarding, Climbing and Abseiling award (Level 1), Paddle sports Instructor award (Level 1), Archery GB instructor award.

  • During my placement, I observed a variety of techniques used to diagnose conditions affecting the nervous system, including EEGs, nerve conduction studies, and thermal threshold testing.

  • Making a true difference to someone’s life, especially during the challenging time of the pandemic, was extremely rewarding.
