Developed critical problem-solving and decision-making skills in managing and supervising the coffee shop , as well as playing a critical role in Camps for Champs , becoming very patient and understanding the different needs of individuals. Demonstrated the ability to manage stress and maintain focus under pressure while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations , while working in all of these positions. I have showed my enthusiasm and motivation to learn new skills , and work within different environments , even from an early age , beginning work at the age of 13.Seeking to transition these transferrable skills into new field, contributing to team success and operational efficiency. While working for Esquires , I was working for my Mum , so I had to take on more responsibilities than other employees . This included waking up early to open the store , and sometimes closing it aswell on the same day. The issues i faced due to this was potentially becoming very tired and unmotivated , however in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle , i continued to engage in football , gym and other sporting and social activities , which helped me to keep focused , happy and healthy.
Due to my enjoyment in stem subjects , i picked up volunteering for family and friends , giving up my free time to tutor younger students who are struggling , or simply wish to excel in one of these subjects. I initially wanted to begin this as i feel maths and science is crucial for helping students build foundational skills and overcoming challenges. When doing sessions , i feel that personalised support is the most important thing , and i try to address specific learning needs of my students, and to help them understand concepts , i connect them to real world problems and applications. So far , i have only had positive feedback , and i have even managed to help my cousin go from failing foundation maths to getting accepted into higher maths.
Engaging in sports such as being the captain of a football team, as well as playing badminton, table tennis, and volleyball, has provided me with valuable skills essential for a career as a pilot. Leading my team has enhanced my leadership abilities, decision-making skills, and instilled a sense of confidence in taking responsibility during high-pressure situations—key qualities needed for effectively managing an aircraft and crew. Participating in sports like badminton and table tennis has also improved my reflexes and hand-eye coordination, which are vital for quick thinking and precise actions required in the cockpit. Additionally, playing volleyball and other team sports has reinforced my capacity to collaborate, adapt to ever-changing circumstances, and stay composed under stress. These experiences have cultivated discipline, resilience, and a dedication to continuous improvement—traits that align seamlessly with the demands of aviation. I am confident that the lessons learned through sports will significantly contribute to my success as a pilot.
I have always been dedicated to my studies, consistently performing well in school and excelling in and thoroughly enjoying subjects such as maths, physics, other sciences ,and problem-solving. These areas are directly related to the skills required in aviation, such as calculating trajectories, understanding aerodynamics, and interpreting technical information. My ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and apply them in practical situations gives me confidence in tackling the theoretical and technical challenges of becoming a pilot. Additionally, my strong academic performance reflects my discipline, focus, and love for learning qualities that are essential for excelling in flight training and succeeding as a pilot. My ability to balance school work , as well as maintain a healthy social life , and engage in many sporting activities shows that in the future i would be able to deal with the stresses from work , while being able to keep motivated and active outside of work. This would allow me to thrive in the work world , and not allow it to completely take over my life to the point where i lose focus and enjoyment in what i do.
