
Award-winning journalist and digital editor with more than six years’ experience in regional media, specialising in digital publishing, audience engagement and social media. Experienced in independently managing a large regional news website, using SEO, analytics and audience insight to grow readership and support subscriber growth, while training journalists and editors in digital publishing and social media best practice. Previously completed a year-long secondment as newsroom editor, gaining valuable leadership and people management experience. Alongside my full-time role, I also use my communications and digital media skills to support charities, community organisations and local businesses through volunteering and freelance work by creating content, managing social media pages and producing press releases.
Responsible for independently managing KentOnline and the KM Media Group’s local news websites during early morning and weekend shifts, overseeing homepage management and layout, digital publishing and social media strategy while using SEO, analytics and audience insight to increase readership, grow subscriptions and maximise content monetisation.

Alongside my full-time role, I manage communications and social media for Sheerness RNLI and Faversham Swimming Club, while also providing freelance social media support for local businesses. This work includes managing social media channels, writing press releases, producing photography and video, creating digital content and supporting marketing campaigns and community events.
