I have run my own business for 15 years as well as holding part time roles within the SEND and EHCP departments over the years. My passion for helping people with an EHCP, is something that I would say is unrivalled. I combine the use of technology, empathy and knowledge to ensure I work to the best of my ability in an efficient manner with the people within my case load being the first priority over anything else.
I was thrown into the world of SEND, in the deep end when my nephew showed signs of speech delay and autism going back 20 years. I personally did everything and since then have not only helped within my roles within the LA, but 100s over the years on a voluntary basis with navigating the EHCP framework
I started here as a SEN support, and over the years worked varied roles amongst the SEN and EHCP team. These include co ordinating meetings, annual reviews, assessing the right for an EHCP, tribunal info and liasing with all members of stakeholders (within the LA and outside the LA) ensuring all statuary time lines were met.
For the most part, I used to transitioned between the SEN and EHCP team, covering anything that required immediate attention.
I am a great team player as well as someone who can work on there own using there own initiative I am a person who can relate to others very well I am highly motivated and empathetic when coming to help others
