BA Law student and Legal assistant, capable of blending a robust academic foundation in legal principles with hands-on experience from working at the Citizens Advice Bureau and the COVID-19 Inquiry. Proven research, analytical, and communication skills hones through coursework and practical involvement. Combining a passion for justice with a keen interest in business, I am eager to apply legal knowledge in a dynamic professional setting.
I was the Secretary for the Stirling's Middle Eastern and North African Society (MENA). This position allowed me to connect with other students from my background and culture, and has really helped me work on my leadership, teamwork, communication and confidence. Most notably we have had multiple charity events for natural disasters and humanitarian crises like those we have seen in Turkey and Morocco, and have been able to raise awareness to the atrocities currently happening in Gaza by organising fundraising events on campus in addition to putting on a very successful fundraising event in collaboration with Islamic Relief Scotland, allowing us to raise money for humanitarian aid.
My position at the Citizens Advice Bureau was something I did voluntarily. It gave me an opportunity to help people who are struggling and are unable to afford legal advice any other way. It allowed me to learn how to communicate with all kinds of different people, patience, teamwork, improved my attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
I have also swam competitively my entire life, having started in the UAE at the age of three. Although I competed a lot, I was able to compete in the Dubai Open in 2017, which allowed younger swimmers to compete and interact with Olympians and World Champions. I have also competed internationally yearly in the Bulgarian Nationals, having won several medals. Although I have stopped competing, as I am now focusing on my professional career, but I continue to swim with the University of Stirling's swimming team.
