Summary

I am a dedicated and enthusiastic Huntsman with a proven track record of producing a winning pack for two consecutive years at The Yorkshire Show. Hunting has been my passion since I was a young boy, and I'm committed to maintaining high standards. My approach is to work quietly and consistently, which has helped me build and maintain good relationships. I'm an experienced farmer and landowner, and this has given me a sympathetic understanding and excellent communication skills to ensure good relationships with landowners. I have practical skills in mechanics and maintenance, so I'm handy to have around when something needs fixing. I hold an HGV license and a firearms license. Experienced in flesh round work. I have been involved in organising fundraising events such as Hunt Balls and Terrier Shows and understand the importance of fundraising for hunts that are reliant on these funds. Having run my family farm as a business, I appreciate how vital financial support is to sustain the sport. I am passionate about encouraging new faces and children in the field, and I actively support and promote this, believing it is crucial for attracting the next generation and ensuring the future of hunting. My dedication is to the care of the hounds and the success of the hunt—not just as an organization but as a business which is a vital part of my ethics. Growing up on a farm, I've developed a strong grounding in rural life, and I value family, mentorship, and supporting others. I had the privilege of guiding one of the UK's few professional female whips during her first year in hunt service and watch her develop as a fine member of huntstaff under my care. I also gave time to educate a groom working under my management as a second whip and he has gone on to pursue a career as a second whip for an established pack. I am passionate in supporting staff and inspiring them to become valued members in the hunting community. It is my opinion that healthy, happy hounds and staff are paramount to the success of the hunt.
