Before the game starts I as part of the ground staff team carry out tests on the pitch for its moisture, hardness and temperature.
After the players have completed warming up I repair the pitch, this is then repeated at half time and after full time.
Dug out a trench and installed a bamboo barrier.
Leaf clearing.
Dug over flower beds in preparation for compost spreading.
Installed and painted fence lines.
Basic use of power tools, leafblower, jetwash and strimmer.
Prior to the game I assisted in laying out training kit and balls. When the players go in prior to kick off I would remove the training kit. During the game I retrieve balls that go out of play and I also had balls ready for the players so the game did continue on smoothly.
