Max Taylor

My main roles included:

• Implementing login security protocols for the UI (via Auth0), while allowing dynamic security protocols for different clients.

• Fixing consumer-facing bugs in a very large, pre-existing SaaS application. Frequently this involved debugging within third-party libraries (e.g. AG Grid), especially when dealing with large data sets with 10,000+ rows.

• Adding complex features via third-party software to the pre-existing SaaS application, for example building a dynamic Excel document uploader using the FlatFile library.

• Making architectural decisions when building a new dynamic UI component library, with a strong focus on API integration, security, and bundle configuration.

• Extensive use of modern React patterns, e.g. the Context API and Redux, when building new SaaS features.

• Extensive use of unit and integration testing.

• Worked extensively on the development of the Oak Furniture Land React Native App, now available on the IOS store with AR purchasing and viewing capabilities. The project used react-navigation, extensive use of the context api, typescript and 90% test coverage with jest.

• Collaborated in building Care Fertility's (https://www.carefertility.com/) website using Next.js, React, and Contentstack as the headless CMS.

• Adhered to industry-leading tech practices, including scrum and agile work processes, extensive testing and code reviews, and a constant pursuit of the latest technologies.

• My role asked my to mentor and support many junior devs, which has greatly improved my communication and teaching abilities. I am patient and always seek to explain concepts in their most simple forms, to then layer on complexity when needed. I also know the art of asking a junior the right question to ensure they have actually understood what was said.

• Lead full stack developer on video consultation application for health care practitioners. The app used javascript on the front-end with a node/express backend. It integrated with third party live streaming software openVidu.

• React developer for a dynamic forms application for nurses. This included use of redux, hooks and extensive testing with react-testing library.
