
A motivated and ambitious recent A-level graduate with a strong interest in developing a career in sales. Currently working in a customer-focused, sales-related role, I have gained valuable experience in communicating with clients, understanding customer needs, and contributing to revenue-driven environments. I am now seeking an opportunity as a Sales Advisor where I can build on these foundations, further develop my sales skills, and progress to further develop with the company. In my role at Likewise Floors, I developed strong sales and customer service skills within a fast-paced trade environment. While based at the trade counter, my primary focus has been managing inbound sales enquiries via email and telephone, providing product guidance, generating quotations, and converting leads into confirmed orders.
I regularly engage with trade customers, building relationships and understanding their specific needs. This has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, and close sales effectively. Working to targets and deadlines has also improved my time management and prioritisation skills.Through this role, I have gained confidence in negotiating, upselling complementary products, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. I have also become proficient in handling multiple enquiries simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order processing. This experience has significantly developed my commercial awareness, resilience, and ability to work in a results-driven sales environment, preparing me to take the next step in my sales career.
Since starting my job role has exposed to me to fast paced environments during peak times and busy months, such as the lead up to Christmas, while challenging me to learn the role as quick as possible. This has developed my skills to learn with mistakes and thrive of fast paced working environments. Customer service and interactions are essential to the success of the business showing me the skills and traits to be successful in customer service based roles. During my time i also completed level 2 food and hygiene safety course during my time at JL.
I carried out a course lasting for one week with U-Educate that allowed me to have an insight into social media and marketing. Throughout the course I was taught briefly how to use coding apps in relation to website building. At the end of this, I produced 3 websites through background research and using the skills I had been taught.
During my time here i ensured smooth running during peak hours by managing the safety of the customers and smooth running of the customers facilities such as access to trolleys and equipment. I carried out "carry to cars" which endured carrying heavy objects for customers. this allowed me to get my first insight into customer service and build a rapport with regular customers. I also developed collaborative skills aswell as interpersonal skills by resolving customer problems while maintaining workflow in other areas. During this time due to development and positive endorsement I was offered a role as checkout operator until the end of my contract. Over these two months I gained exposure to large backlogs during busy hours, situational problem solving of customer requests. likewise, I was able to better develop my attention to detail through precise checking of stock flow.
