My main role within car build group was to make sure all sensor / pressure tapping configurations are working correctly for each aerodynamic car part producing reports for each item for correlation purpose and real time data collection on each race car including coding of various sensors which are used on each car. This involves close relationships with -

  • Aero performance group.
  • Trackside aero.
  • Wind tunnel and electronics.

I built aerodynamic rake department which also requires above relationships. Being part of car build group working between events to check each component needed for next race while working with inspection, electronics etc was ready.

  • To build and assemble all pressure tapping installation's,
ensure all aero sensors are fully operational and installed to optimise results.
  • Provide end to end support for the race team to ensure all aero assemblies are available on time as design intention.
  • Assisting the composites build group in preparing all composite parts pre and post event.
  • Utilised specialist tools to assemble parts of machinery diligently.
  • Facilitated smoother project execution by effectively liaising with engineers and other technicians.
  • Trained junior staff on operational procedures and safety protocols, fostered skill development.
  • Increased efficiency by maintaining and repairing complex technical equipment.
