• Working in collaboration with a heart transplant surgeon at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital.
• Investigating the utility of adjunctive adenosine in cardioplegia.

• Selected to lead a team of six medical students under the supervision of Professor Paul Brennan.
• Investigating mitigation strategies to volume-outcome relationships in operative neurosurgery.

Cardiothoracic cohort study (manuscript submitted), 10/2024 - Current

• Co-first author of a clinical study conducted with five cardiothoracic surgeons across the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and Nottingham University Hospital.
• Delivered oral presentations at WSCTS and SCTS international conferences.
• Manuscript recently submitted for peer-reviewed publication.

Neuropsychiatric systematic review (completed), 09/2023 - 04/2024

• BMedSci (Surgical Sciences) dissertation completed under Professor Harry Campbell.
• Contributed to a first-class honours degree and subsequently presented at the SUNS national conference, receiving an oral presentation award.

'Prep4Surgery' Teaching Series, 11/2025 - Current

• Lead organiser and tutor for a structured, multi-part surgical teaching programme for medical students.
• Delivering small-group, practical teaching on basic suturing and surgical knot tying, scrubbing and aseptic technique, perioperative principals, surgical career pathways, and portfolio development.
• Responsible for programme design, session coordination, and teaching delivery under consultant supervision.
