Area Manager for Berkshire M4 corridor- Was primarily involved in specification sales for 4 years covering most of the south east including London. Sales into local authorities and housing associations, including dealing with contractors and rebate support.
A business restructure after 4 years moved me into a smaller territory, looking after both contractors on the domestic and commercial side of the business, along with the day to day running of the Worcester accredited installers programme- supporting both the business and the sales out via the local merchant base for the area.
Working directly for the London Region Director.
Overseeing the sales and revenue targets for 21 branches within the M25. Assisting non performing branches with targets and incentives for new customers on a day to day basis. Also dealing with any staffing or business issues that occur in the merchant to maintain a sales target and profit margin.
Specification Manager covering the South East including London. Actively running contracts between contractor and client, including rebates and water sampling testing, ensuring longevity for any replacement boilers/Systems that the client had specified. Introduced a new filter in to the port folio and I was the top sales person for units into merchant.
Divisional Manager South-
Employed to build a team in the South to work closely with City Plumbing Supplies who had national contracts with Persimmon Homes. Introduced cylinders into the portfolio and grew successful sales through the combined packages that were offered to the merchant/distributors.
I was personally tasked with introducing a higher price point product into the range, which was sold into the independent boiler merchant nationally. Ended up with a team of seven individuals under my supervision.
Started as an Area Manager, but excelled in sales targets, so my Regional Manager at the time stepped down, to allow me to grow the business even further through my relationship with the Independent merchant network in the South.
The business struggled when the 2005 condensing boilers were introduced and a while later the business was sold to Dimplex. I disagreed with the way they wanted to go with the business and was taken by Ferroli, who wanted a successful manager with strong merchant contacts.
Employed to return sales for 5 branches of Wolseley Plumb Center.
My first sales role, and winning their Top Gun award for top salesman in my second year. With no way for promotion, I was offered a stronger role with prospects with manufacturer Halstead Boilers.
